Lace Edge Knit Shawl – Free Pattern

Materials:
You will need the following materials to make your shawl:
- 4 skeins (Approx. 876 yards) Knit Picks Upcycle Alpaca Blent Worsted Weight Yarn in Pistachio.
- Size 8 (5 mm) circular knitting needles (32″ cord).
- Scissors.
- 2 stitch markers (optional).
- Tapestry/yarn needle (for weaving in ends).
Gauge:
16 stitches, 24 rows = 4″ in stockinette stitch before blocking.
Finished Measurements:
This rectangular shawl measures: 33″ wide X 68″ long after blocking.
Abbreviations:
K: Knit.
P: Purl.
St: Stitch.
Pm: Place stitch marker on needle.
YO: Yarn over needle.
Sk2po: Slip one stitch knitwise, knit two stitches together, pass the slipped stitch over.
K3tog: Knit 3 stitches together.
Notes:
- The shawl is knit flat in rows, using circular knitting needles to hold the large number of stitches.
- You can use stitch markers to mark the beginning and end of the lace panels. If you choose to use stitch markers, place one after the first 27 stitches, and the other before the last 27 stitches.
