Triangle Shawl Knitting Pattern

Triangle Shawl Knitting Pattern

I have a brand new triangle shawl knitting pattern to share with you today! I wasn’t sure how well a shawl pattern would be received, which led me to ask in my Instagram story if my followers would like to see more shawls on Leelee Knits. I was overwhelmed by the number of responses! Thank you so much to everyone who took the time answer my poll. 94% of my Instagram followers responded that yes, they would love to see more shawl patterns, which made me so very happy because my mind is full of potential designs to share! If you are not following me on Instagram but would like to, please do! I love to ask for feedback and share what I’m working on well before I release a pattern. You can follow me by clicking on the following link: Leelee Knits on Instagram and hitting the follow button.

I designed this shawl to begin with just four stitches, and then build up to a large right angle triangle, which is the perfect shape for cozy wrap. The width of the shawl is textured with left and right leaning three stitch cable twists on a background of reverse stockinette stitch.

In honour of Earth Day, which is coming up on April 22 this year, I named this cozy wrap The Gaia Shawl after the Greek goddess of the Earth. The Gaia Shawl is perfect to wrap around your shoulders on nature walks, or even just sitting outdoors and appreciating this beautiful planet we call home.
