The holidays are quickly approaching at the time of this post. With this in mind, I decided to create a pattern for a quick, easy, and low-cost gift for you to crochet: The Slopes Headband Crochet Pattern!
Headbands (also called ear warmers) make a great last minute gift for co-workers as well as friends. In fact, you could even add them as a stocking stuffer for the girls in your family. Because the entire headband is made in only 9 rows and worked with Knit Picks Brava Bulky Weight Yarn, you’ll be able to make a bunch of them in very little time since they will fly off your crochet hook! And of course, I made sure that the design would be stylish and fun in addition to being quick and easy.
To help guide you along, I created a YouTube video that you can find below on this page with the pattern (you can also check out the Leelee Knits YouTube Channel where I post all of my crochet video tutorials). In the video for the Slopes Crochet Headband, I walk you through the process of crocheting the headband from beginning to end, as well as demonstrate the special stitches that are used.
Another Headband Crochet Pattern
Finally, if you enjoy this pattern and are looking for more crochet headband patterns, check out my No Sweat Headband. I came up with the pattern when I was training for a 10K race a couple of years ago and, as a result, found that I needed a headband that would keep my ears warm in addition to keeping the sweat off my face. Just like the Slopes Headband, the pattern is both easy and quick! If you’re a visual learner, you’ll be happy to hear that I made a video demo along with the written instructions for this one as well!
I have written out and posted the free pattern below on this page.

I seriously love this headband! I’ve made so so many as gifts and they literally do just fly off your hook after making a few of them. I actually made one in an hour on a trip recently and that was with distractions and a couple stops! One thing I’ve done differently is add a Foundation chain at the beginning so it has a little more stretch throughout it, and I’ve added another row of HHDC before the final row to make it a little wider. Love it though!
That makes me so happy to hear Kate! ❤️
