In this video, I show you how to crochet the stitch pattern used in the Rumi Baby Blanket.
I named this blanket after my adorable, sweet nephew Rumi. It was my gift to him when he was born and so it’s a really special pattern to me. I hope that you enjoy making this blanket and gifting it to a special baby as much as I did.
Stitch Instructions:
Row 1: Work 3 DC in sixth chain from hook; *CH1, skip next 3 ch, 3DC in next ch; repeat from * across, ending last rep with 2DC (instead of 3) in last ch. CH2, turn.
Row 2: *DC in next ch1 space, TR in second of skipped chains from foundation chain, DC in same ch1 space, CH1; repeat from * across, ending last rep with 2 DC in top of turning chain; CH2, turn.
Row 3: *DC in next ch1 space, TR in second of skipped stitch from row below, DC in same ch1 space, CH1; repeat from * across, ending last rep with 2 DC in top of turning chain; CH2, turn.
Repeat Row 3 for pattern.

Hi
I happen across this pattern. I love it. It is turning out so beautiful I know the person I’m making this for is going to love it. Thank you for the free pattern.
I’m new to your sight. THsnks again
You’re so welcome Rhoda!
When do you change colors in this pattern? I’m starting it but don’t see the color change instructions.
Repeat Row 3 for pattern, working one row in Color B every 6 rows (five rows of Color A, followed by 1 row of Color B).
can you tell me what the pattern stitch count is? That way I could make it larger.
The stitch count is a multiple of 4 plus 2
What did you crochet for a border ? I cannot view your video so don’t know if you had directions on
that.
