Lace Knit Blanket Pattern

I have a brand new blanket pattern for you guys! The Zen Blanket is something that’s been brewing in my mind for a while. I often get requests for lace knitting projects, and as a result, I wanted to create a lace knit blanket pattern that is stylish, cozy, and fun to knit up. Also, since it is the summer time right now, a light and airy throw is the perfect project to decorate your home! This throw looks gorgeous draped over the sofa or arm chair. It’s also great to wrap up in for cooler evenings spent outdoors.

The pattern for the Zen Blanket alternates rows of ridged lace, with a mix of stockinette and garter stitch to create a squishy, stretchy fabric that is incredibly cozy to cuddle up with. I know that knitting a large blanket may seem daunting, but don’t worry! This pattern is fun to knit, and the simple stitch pattern will have you reaching for your needles when you just want to relax and knit something repetitive. Knitting can sometimes put me in a meditative state, and this pattern definitely did this for me…. which is why I named it the Zen blanket!

I chose to work with Knit Picks Brava worsted weight yarn for this project to keep the cost down, while still creating a soft, high quality fabric. I love that Brava doesn’t break the bank, but still feels like a luxury yarn. My skin has been extra dry and sensitive lately, which means that itchy acrylic yarns just wont do!
