Men’s Cable Knit Scarf Pattern

Bold Cables & Clean Lines
You guys know I’m cable obsessed, so it’s no surprise that I have another cabled pattern to share with you today. I designed the Greenway Scarf to be gender neutral and geared towards the masculine, but it would totally be suitable for anyone to wear!
Knitting The Greenway Scarf
The pattern itself is fairly simple. I designed it with three nine-stitch cables, each worked over a 16-row repeat, with sections of 3 × 3 ribbing in between. The middle cable is offset from the cables on either side, so you’ll be working a cable twist every eight rows.
Because each cable crosses both knit and purl stitches, you’ll use two cable stitch holders at a time: one to hold the knit stitches at the front of your work, and the other to hold the purl stitches at the back. It sounds tricky, I know. But once you make the first twist, you’ll see that it’s actually not too hard to do – and the resulting ribbed cable is absolutely gorgeous.
