Cuddly Cable Knit Baby Blanket Pattern

Cable Knit Baby Blanket Pattern

Many of my followers enjoy my baby blanket patterns, which makes me incredibly happy! I want you to know that I plan to continue with designing and sharing new baby blanket patterns for as long as the ideas keep coming. Knitting a baby blanket is a great way to express love, creativity, and practicality all at once. Whether you’re making it as a gift, a donation to charity, or for your own new arrival, the process of knitting a baby blanket is both fulfilling and rewarding. Today I’m sharing a cable knit baby blanket pattern that is both classic in style and perfect for cuddles!

I chose to work with cables because I love the three-dimensional effect that cables create. Plus, knitting cables requires a bit of extra skill and concentration compared to basic knit and purl stitches. This can make the process of knitting cables feel like a fun and rewarding challenge. It’s a great way to learn new techniques and develop your skills too. The pattern for this baby blanket for example, involves working a cable on the purl side of your work. This is the first time I’ve worked with a cable stitch that requires cabling on the wrong side, so I learned something a new skill in designing this pattern too!

Pay it Forward!
