Cloudburst Striped Crochet Baby Blanket Pattern

colorful stripes & beginner friendly

My summer of baby blankets concludes with this simple and fun striped crochet baby blanket pattern. I have tried my best to make this pattern easy enough for beginner crocheters. If you are new to crochet, but can make a chain, single crochet, and half double crochet then you will have no problem crocheting this blanket. I shared a video tutorial on the Leelee Knits YouTube Channel (as well as below on this page) of How to Crochet the Half Double Crochet V-Stitch that is used in the pattern to help you out too.

I realize that I’ve been leaning towards feminine colours lately for my baby blanket patterns, which is why this time I chose to work with greys and blues. As always, the colours that I use for my blankets are just a suggestion – I encourage you to be creative with your own colour choice.

Once again, I have chosen to work with Knit Picks Brava Worsted Weight Yarn for its affordability and the fact that it is machine washable. I highly recommend that you use the same yarn to get the correct gauge and drape, but you can substitute with another worsted weight yarn if you are unable to get Knit Picks yarn where you live.

Pay it Forward!

I hope you enjoy this pattern! Please feel free to share the link to this page on your social media or Pinterest account.

I truly appreciate all of you who get the word out about this site and my patterns!
