A Knitted Wrap – Free Pattern
Today I’m sharing a free knitted wrap pattern! We don’t get many warm months where I live, so I soak up every bit of sunshine and those blissfully long days.
One of my absolute favourite things to do during the summer is to sit out on the patio with the kids and roast marshmallows. There’s something magical about those moments—the laughter, the crackling fire, and the sticky sweetness of marshmallows perfectly toasted. The days may be warm and filled with sunshine, but the nights often have a cool breeze that makes me reach for something cozy.
That’s why I created this cozy summertime knitted wrap. It’s the perfect blend of warmth and breathability, making it ideal for those cooler summer evenings. Whether we’re enjoying a backyard barbecue, or heading out on a spontaneous adventure, this wrap is my go-to accessory. It’s light and airy, easy to pack, and stylish enough to complement any summer outfit.
The wrap has become a staple in my summer wardrobe. It’s not just a piece of clothing—it’s a part of my summer memories. So, as we embrace the warmth and wonder of this beautiful season, I hope you find your own little joys and cozy moments too!

I like a challenge when knitting the harder the pattern is my fortay
me too
What do you mean when you say to repeat 5 times for the middle – does that mean to repeat the broken rib and the netting stitch.
Thanks in advance
Betty G.
Hi Betty, it means to complete the following instruction five times: Work 6 rows in Broken Rib Stitch, followed by 12 rows in Netting Stitch
Thank you for your response.
Thank you for your response. I appreciate your help
Row 3 differs from row 2 ending the repeat with a YRN and ending the row with K2. Would this add a stitch to each row
I started this pattern , completed the rib stitch , counted my stitches after each row. I ten started the netting stitch, completed row 1 and row 2. At this point I still have 243 stitches on my needle. After row three , I only had 242 stitches . After taking the row out three times, I counted the stitches in row 2 and had 243 stitches. Something was wrong in row 3. At the beginning of that row you have a knit one slip one , K2, PSSO both knitted stitches. This is where I loose that stitch as there is no YRN before the slip one. If I continue to do this , I will continue to loose another stitch. Was there supposed to be a YRN before that S1 after the K1 at the beginning of the row ? Thank you. Helen
Hi Helen, the YRN is at the end of the repeat for row 3. Try working on a small swatch first to see if that helps with understanding the stitch pattern.
