An Easy Crochet Blanket Pattern for Beginners
I have another super fun and easy crochet blanket pattern to share with you all! I know that many of my followers are beginner crocheters, so I wanted to come up with a throw pattern that is simple, modern, and versatile. I’m incredibly happy with the end result, and I think you will love it too!
The Wisteria Throw pattern creates a contemporary blanket that is perfect to snuggle up with all year round. You’ll love the easy stitch pattern, which is great for beginners, as well as advanced crocheters looking for a relaxing project to work on with minimal thinking required! The colour combination that I came up with uses a simple striped repeat, but feel free to mix it up! You could make yours a solid blanket, add the stripes at different intervals, or even add a third colour!
For all of the visual learners out there, I’m happy to let you know that I created a video demo for the tilted posts stitch used in pattern and posted it to the Leelee Knits YouTube Channel. The video is embedded in this page below with the pattern as well.
Choosing Yarn for Your Crochet Blanket:
I chose to work with Knit Picks / We Crochet Brava worsted weight yarn for my blanket. I love the affordable price, as well as their huge selection of colours! I know that you may have a different idea for what colours you’d prefer to work with, so please check out their selection – I promise you will not be disappointed! They have even come out with a Brava Tweed line that I cannot wait to try out!
