If you follow me on Instagram and Facebook, then you’ll know that I’ve been hard at work on my new eBook pattern collection entitled “7 Days of Kitchen Towels”. I decided to create this collection of kitchen towel patterns because I think that many knitters feel intimidated when it comes to trying out new techniques. Lace knitting, cable knitting, working with slip stitches, or following a more complicated combination of knits and purls can be overwhelming – especially for new knitters. Since kitchen towels work up quickly, they are great for practicing new skills while leaving you with a sense of accomplishment and confidence in your knitting abilities. Not to mention, hand knit kitchen towels make awesome gifts, are environmentally friendly, and are a fun way to brighten up your kitchen decor!

I have designed each pattern in this collection to allow you to practice an interesting new stitch, while creating a gorgeous piece of fabric. The patterns are challenging, but not overly difficult and include written instructions as well a chart. Each pattern requires one skein of Knit Picks Dishie worsted weight yarn, which is my go-to yarn for towels and cloths. I love that I can just throw anything I’ve made with Dishie into the wash and it will come out looking as good as new!

Over the past week, I’ve been sharing daily photos of each towel design on social media. On the last day of sharing, I asked which one you would like to see posted for free on the release date, which is today! The design that received the most love, and the one that I’m sharing in this post is the lace knit kitchen towel pattern, which I’ve named “All About the Lace”! I truly have been blessed with the kindest followers on social media, and I feel so happy whenever I receive a comment or like on my posts. Knitting is my favourite thing in this world, and I can’t believe that I’m lucky enough to have a platform where I can share it with so many kindred spirits.
