Quick and Easy Knit Cowl

I had so much fun knitting this quick and easy cowl, and I know you will too!   Whether you are looking to make this as a gift or to add to your store, you will fall in love with this pattern because not only is it quick and easy, but it looks like you spent a lot of time knitting a complicated stitch.

This cowl is worked flat (not in the round) and I used  Knit Picks Biggo Yarn in Bare.

Quick and Easy Cowl Knitting Pattern

Here is what you will need to make this cowl:

Gauge

3 stitches = 1 Inch in stockinette stitch

Size:

Width: 12.5 Inches (23 ” before folding and sewing).

Height: 11 Inches.

Abbreviations:

K: Knit

P: Purl

Pattern

Cast on 30 Stitches (or multiple of 4 + 2).

Row 1: K2, *P2, K2; repeat from * to end of row.

Row 2: P2, *K2, P2; repeat from * to end of row.

Row 3: P2, *K2, P2; repeat from * to end of row.

Row 4: K2, *P2, K2; repeat from * to end of row.

Repeat rows 1-4 until your work measures 23 inches.

Cast off.

Finishing

Fold the cowl in half and sew together the cast on and bind off ends.  Weave in all loose ends.

    1. Yes, you could, but the end result would be less thick. I recommend sticking with a bulky weight yarn if you want to get the same look as in the photo.
