I have a fun new pattern to share with you all this week! This quick and easy free crochet bucket hat pattern is the perfect summertime crochet project. If you love easy patterns that are worked entirely in one piece, then I just know you will love this one!
I had so much fun coming up with the design for this hat. My goal was to make the pattern super easy to follow. The entire hat is made with single crochet stitches, and it can’t get much easier than that! The horizontal bands along the side are also just single crochet stitches, but worked in the back loop only.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on this pattern. If I get enough interest I will work on designing some more summer hat patterns to share with you over the warmer months!

Notes:
This simple bucket hat is worked from the top down in the round.. Here are a couple of pointers before you begin crocheting your hat:
- Work the rounds in spirals; do not join at the beginning of each round. It is very helpful to use a removable stitch marker to mark the end of each round.
- Each round shows the total number of stitches for the round in brackets. It is a good idea to check the count every few rows.

Just what I was looking for in a crochet hat! It’s going to be perfect for summer.
Yay! So glad to hear! Enjoy the pattern!
I just finished this hat and I love it. Its the first hat I’ve made for myself that fit me perfectly. I’ve always had a hard time with top down hats that fit. I’m a loose crocheter and even making an adjust with hook size they always turn out too big. Thanks for a great pattern. I will be making more.
Awe you’re most welcome Sharon! ❤️
This is a great hat! Thanks for the pattern. Please make more designs for the hot months coming in Georgia!! I think I am going to make the “band” part a different color. Love all your patterns.
You’re welcome Melissa! Thank you for the kind words. I can’t wait to share more warm weather patterns this spring and summer with you!
